A Nintendo Direct has officially been announced to take place tomorrow on March 27. The livestream will be approximately 30 minutes long, and will air at 7 AM PT – that’s 10 AM ET, 2 PM UTC and 3 PM CET. Whilst the Direct will focus on Nintendo Switch games, Nintendo have made it clear that they will not be talking about the Switch 2.
A separate post was even dedicated to confirming that, no, the Switch 2 will not be receiving new information tomorrow. There’s an entire Switch 2 Direct scheduled for April 2, so whilst we will have to wait a little longer to hear about the Switch 2, it isn’t far off! As tomorrow’s Direct will focus on the existing Switch, we imagine we’ll hear more about upcoming games like Metroid Prime 4, along with new releases, such as any potential ports Nintendo may have developed to support the Switch in its last year of life.
We’d usually also guess that we’d hear about the next Pokémon game, but after the recent Pokémon event that gave a spotlight and first look at Pokémon Legends: Z-A gameplay, we’re not entirely sure Nintendo or The Pokémon Company would go out of their way to show us more. But hey, if Nintendo Directs have taught us anything it’s that nothing is impossible, so we won’t rule it out completely!
