Overwatch 2 Teases Mercy Mythic Skin, And It’s Scary Good

As Season 9 comes to a close, the tenth season of Overwatch 2 is quickly approaching, and a new teaser has given us a sneak peek at a new mythic skin for one of Overwatch‘s most popular heroes. The short teaser clip appears at the end of the Season 10: Venture Forth teaser trailer posted on the official Overwatch X (formerly Twitter) account, and it shows a few glimpses of a dark and scary Mercy skin, with a voice line spoken by the character saying “no mercy”.

This black and red color combo on Mercy, complete with a skull face mask, looks incredibly ominous for Overwatch‘s resident healer and literal angel. This switch up in aesthetic is very reminiscent of the color scheme for Talon, one of the primary forces of evil in the Overwatch world, with familiar members such as Reaper and Moira. In-game interactions between Mercy and the Talon members have always been frosty at best, so we can’t wait to hear the explanations behind this unique concept idea.

Whilst fans have initially been unsure whether this teaser would truly be for a Mercy mythic, as the most recent mythic skin went to Moira who is also a support character, the official Overwatch TikTok page has been liking comments about this skin being a mythic. It’s still not entirely certain, but it would be odd to end a teaser with a showcase of a skin that’s unrelated to the season, or one that’s just a regular legendary unlockable.

The next Overwatch 2 season will also see the addition of Venture, a new hero to the Overwatch universe with a unique ability to go underground, and will be available April 16.
