Palworld‘s latest Tides of Terraria update has added a variety of new Pals, materials, and features. Fishing is now possible in the game, and you can find some interesting Pals under the water. Whalaska is one particular Pal that you’d want to catch as quickly as possible because catching and defeating Whalaska drops Coralum Ore, which is required in huge quantities if you intend to craft late-game weapons and structures. Additionally, adding Whalaska to your party makes fishing somewhat easier, making it a great option to add to your team if you intend to fish for any more Pals.
Where To Find And Catch Whalaska

There are two ways to catch Whalaska. You can either fish at the advanced or master fishing spots near the shores of Feybreak Island, or you can head to the Isle of the Glacial Core and catch it after weakening it. In order to catch Whalaska via fishing, you’ll have to use an Advanced Fishing Rod and pair it with Alluring Bait to catch it easily.
If you don’t want to try your hand at fishing or simply want a sure-fire way to find and catch Whalaska, then you can head to the Isle of the Glacial Core, which is at 140, 643 coordinates. You’ll find this Pal levitating around the island.

Since Whalaska is a Water-Ice element Pal, you should bring a Fire element Pal to fight against it. Make sure you’ve got high-tier weapons, as Whalaska on this island will be between level 50 and 60, and to fight against it, we’d recommend that your Pals are also around these levels.
Where To Find Alpha Whalaska

Alpha Whalaska can be found north of the Astral Mountains region. The exact coordinates are -179, 839. You’ll find this Alpha Pal swimming in the ocean around a tiny glacial island. You’ll have to use the same strategy to fight against it as you would use against the normal version of this Pal, but fighting on the ocean can get a little overwhelming because Whalaska often dives under the sea while using its attacks.
Where To Find And Catch Whalaska Ignis

Whalaska Ignis is the Fire-Ice variant, and finding it can be a challenge because you can only catch it via fishing. You’ll have to fish in the advanced or master fishing spots near the shores of the Scorched Ashland region.

You can also find this Pal at the fishing spot near the No. 2 Wildlife Sanctuary, but it only spawns in one fishing spot there. Heading over to the Scorched Ashland region is a better choice since you can jump to another fishing spot if you don’t find one in one fishing spot.
Where To Find Alpha Whalaska Ignis

Alpha Whalaska Ignis can be found in the ocean to the west of Mount Obsidian. The exact coordinates for Alpha Whalaska Ignis’ location are -968, -540. Due to the Fire-Ice Element, you’ll have to bring a Water Element Pal to fight against it.
It’s not easy to spot this Pal while flying high above the sea, as it often hides almost its entire body beneath the surface. It’s best to descend as much as possible if you’re riding a flying Pal, or you can simply ride a swimming Pal to find Alpha Whalaska Ignis more easily. Got any more questions?
