Peter Griffin Is Probably Coming To Fortnite, New Leaks Claim

Cue the cutaway gags, because Family Guy could be making its way to Fortnite. Back in 2021, Epic Games was working on a project codenamed ‘FrenchFry’, and when the Back Bling that accompanied the project got decrypted, it showed a series of frames from an episode of Family Guy. Specifically, it was Peter Griffin getting involved in one of his iconic fights against recurring character Ernie the Giant Chicken. Reputable Fortnite leaker GMatrixGames has now confirmed that a ‘FrenchFry’ male skin is being actively worked on once again, and if true, would likely be Peter Griffin.

Adding fuel to this theory is a leaked list of files that appeared in an Unreal Engine showcase, each of them correlating to a Fortnite skin that received their own cinematic trailer. These were Indiana Jones, Darth Vader, Doomguy, and Peter Griffin. The first three have already made their Fortnite debut, each featuring in a cinematic trailer online. The evidence mounts up to make a pretty believable case, and the fact Epic continues to work on this skin could be a promising sign for Family Guy fans.

As of a few updates ago, Epic is still working on cosmetics codenamed FrenchFry. A new ID of a cosmetic is CID_TBD_Athena_Commando_M_FrenchFry. This codename has been long speculated to be related to Family Guy.

Fortnite can be very self-aware in its collaborations. Epic know their audience, and it’s clear the audience enjoys some outlandish collaborations, such as the Stonks meme skin that released for April Fool’s Day in 2021. The latest multiverse-colliding Fortnite live event saw the Zero Point at the core of the island reaching into other realities, and dragging in characters such as The Witcher‘s Geralt, YouTuber MrBeast and Marvel’s Hulk. Surely Peter Griffin can’t be too far now.
