Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Mortal Kombat X have been delayed

In just a few weeks a new Mortal Kombat game is set to arrive, but I do hope that those of you planning on getting the game plan on getting the current generation versions as it turns out the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Mortal Kombat X have been delayed.

Recently a listing on Amazon suggested that the game was being delayed when the dates for the 360 and Playstation 3 versions of the game had a change in release date. Those who noted this had raised eyebrows, questioning if this was actually true, sadly it is as Warner Brothers has said the game has been delayed on past generation systems, however the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game are still on track.

“Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today confirmed that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Mortal Kombat X being developed by High Voltage Software will release this summer,” the publisher said in a statement. “The Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC versions will be available April 14.”

This seems to be quite common these days that we see delays for our games on older systems or even cancelled releases. As it seems, developers are pushing us to upgrade with support dwindling for older consoles in the same way as the current generation Wii U.
