Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Mortal Kombat X have been regrettably cancelled

You knew it was a bad sign when the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Mortal Kombat X were delayed, much like other games before it the signs were bad and the version of the game for last generation was ultimately cancelled. I am sure this news would not shock anyone and I think if people really wanted it they would be looking at the current generation version of the game but still it is sad news.

Warner Brothers Interactive decided to cancel the versions of the game due to the inability to meet the quality standards that have been set by the Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game. Community Admin Yorick took to the WB Games’ community blog and shared the sad news with fans:

“After months of development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has come to the regrettable conclusion that we cannot release Mortal Kombat X for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Please know our teams worked diligently to meet the quality standards set by the current-gen versions of the game.”

“We were not able to get the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions to the quality expected of a Mortal Kombat game and are very sorry for not being able to deliver the products as originally planned.”

In case you were one of the people who was looking forward to the last generation version of the game, and even pre-ordered a copy can go to the retailer that holds their pre-order and get a full refund so you are not out of pocket.
