PlayStation Plus will remove seven titles from its Extra and Premium tiers on September 15, 2026, including the PS1 platformer Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue, according to Screen Rant.
Toy Story 2 has been part of the Classics Catalog since 2022. The game leaves alongside Toy Story 3, while a separate Disney/Pixar Toy Story: Retro Roundup! collection includes Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue. Screen Rant reports that the collection is scheduled to release on September 15 for $24.99, the same day the PS Plus version is removed.
The timing of the collection’s release differs across the available reports. Push Square and PSU.com report that Toy Story: Retro Roundup! is planned for October, while both outlets also report that Toy Story 3: Complete Edition is due to receive a standalone release in October. The collection does not include Toy Story 3.

It is rare for Premium-tier games to appear on these removal lists, according to Push Square. The two Toy Story titles are among the Premium games leaving in September.
Access to games in the Extra and Premium catalogs ends when those titles leave the service. That differs from the Essential tier, where redeemed monthly games remain available while a subscriber maintains an active subscription, as Push Square notes.
September 15 is the deadline for subscribers who want to play the departing versions of Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3 through PS Plus. The removals were also reported by PSU.com.
