PlayStation Plus May 2025 Monthly Games Revealed, Includes Balatro

The next bunch of games available to all PlayStation Plus subscribers has been announced, as May’s monthly PlayStation Plus line-up is unveiled over on the PlayStation Blog. Starting on May 6, players will be able to redeem Balatro, along with Ark: Survival Ascended and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. You’ll be able to redeem the free games any time between May 6 and June 2, so make sure you act quickly to get all three. Please also note that whilst all games are playable on PS5, only Balatro and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun are available on PS4.

It’s quite a varied bunch of games, with Balatro perhaps being the most high-profile right now. A card game roguelike, Balatro has been making the rounds online for its wacky marketing, addicting gameplay and incredibly unique approach to a very popular genre right now. Meanwhile, Ark: Survival Ascended is a remaster of 2015’s Ark: Survival Evolved, containing the base game along with all of Ark’s worlds. The remaster sees a switch to Unreal Engine 5, with character models, creatures, environments and overall visual quality heavily improved.

Finally there’s Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, a first-person shooter inspired by Doom, and blending together modern gameplay elements with boomer-shooter style gameplay. Before you can claim the May 2025 PlayStation Plus games, be sure not to miss the current offerings, as RoboCop: Rogue CityThe Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory will be claimable up to May 5 before the new games cycle in.
