Pokemon GO Will Soon Release the Today View Feature

Niantic will soon be rolling out a new feature called Today View for Pokemon GO. In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the feature will help players keep track of what’s going on within the world of Pokemon GO.

The Today View tab will be found on the same menu screen as the Field Research and Special Research tasks. It will flag current and forthcoming in-game events. Plus, there are personal stats, which include a player’s daily streaks and what Pokemon are defending Gyms. At this time, Niantic has not announced when the Today View feature will go live, though they have hinted that it will be distributed soon. For more details on the forthcoming feature, check out the official Pokémon GO website.

Elsewhere, in another attempt to ease life at home for Pokémon GO players, Niantic will be giving away extra bonuses indefinitely.  Players will earn three times the standard amount of Stardust and XP for the first Pokémon they can catch each day. Better still, the gift limit has seen an increase. 30 gifts can be opened every day, and 20 can be carried in your inventory.

Last but not least, Niantic has one more surprise up their sleeves. The developers will be introducing a brand new 1 PokeCoin bundle via their in-game store every day.

Unfortunately, Niantic canceled Pokémon GO’s Lugia Raid Event. The Pokémon was due to return today, and stick around until March 31.The event, at this time, has not been rescheduled. However, Niantic is keeping Cobalion around a little longer, through March 31. The Pokémon will remain as a Go Battle League reward encounter until the end of the month.

Other events including the Pokémon GO Safari Zone and the March Community Day have also been canceled due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
