A few months ago, Pokémon TCG Pocket took us and the world by surprise with its launch. It’s a great way to experience a streamlined Pokémon Trading Card Game experience, and its generous free-to-play model makes it easier to focus on the joy of the hobby rather than the frustration of the cost. The game is about to get a lot more exciting though, as it has officially been revealed that the next Pokémon TCG Pocket expansion – Shining Revelry – will introduce Shiny Pokémon!
Now, that’s not the only theme of the Shining Revelry expansion, as the new cards coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket will also debut Paldea Pokémon that first appeared in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet into the game’s vast card library. The Shining Revelry expansion will add over 110 new cards, including of course some stunning illustrations and one show-stopping immersive card. The Shining Revelry expansion will release on March 26, at 10 PM PDT, which is March 27 at 1 AM EST, 5 AM UTC, or 6 AM CET. Shiny Pokémon won’t just be available in flashy ‘ex’ cards, as even some standard cards will be available with shiny versions of their Pokémon, such as Wiglett or Pachirisu. Shiny cards have a holographic iridescent border to them, so we’ll definitely be peeking around our cards to see if we’ve got one coming up.
We can’t wait to collect some new cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket, and it’s a lot easier than trying to deal with the current state of the physical Pokémon TCG.
