Resident Evil 4 Remake: Where To Find Scratched Emerald

Finding lost items seems to be the bread and butter of many game protagonists, and Leon also can’t seem to avoid helping random person retrieve their missing belongings. In Resident Evil 4 Remake, you can accept various side quests by picking up blue notes that you can find on random walls during your journey. As a reward for your hard work, the Merchant will give you some Spinels, which you can use to trade for rare items, like the Matilda firearm.

One of the Requests that Leon can take during Chapter 12 is the “Jewel Thief,” which tasks the agent to locate an heirloom that a crow stole. The blue note informs you that you can find the jewel inside the bird’s nest in the Courtyard. Unfortunately, the game does not give you further hints, and you may find yourself stuck at this point. At the start of Chapter 12, Leon will find himself in a room adjacent to the Ballroom, so you will need to backtrack quite a bit to reach the Courtyard. You will need to pass the ruined Ballroom and the Grand Hall first, and you may encounter some enemies on your way.

You can expect to see some Novistadores and Zealots blocking your path, and although they are not as numerous as your first visit, they can still cause a bit of trouble. Once you have arrived at the Courtyard, you will need to walk past the maze and go to this spot:

The Scratched Emerald can be found in the area between the maze and the Merchant’s room. You will need to look up toward the rooftop, and you should be able to see a nest. Your target will be marked with yellow paint, and you may even notice a crow sitting on top of it.

You can obtain the Scratched Emerald by shooting the nest using any of your weapons. The jewel will safely drop to the ground below, where you can pick it up. After that, you can visit the Merchant in the nearby room, sell the item for 5,000 Pesetas, and complete the Request.
