To begin this quest, head to the Fisherman at Conning Creek: Harbor during daylight hours. Talk to him to learn about his gripping predicament: his top five fish have been repeatedly stolen while he isn’t watching. The fisherman desperately needs help to catch the cunning thief.
Doing so can be quite an intriguing challenge. Interestingly, you’ll find the culprit at the exact location where your quest started. However, the catch lies in changing the time to nightfall and patiently waiting at the very same spot.
Once you’ve turned the clock to night, wait a few moments on the beach until dawn. Soon enough, you’ll spot the crafty culprit making an appearance. As they come into view, gently approach and use either the Throné’s Ambush or Castti’s Soothe Path Actions to knock him unconscious.
After handing the thief to the Head Fisherman, a cutscene ensues, in which the old man takes the high road. The wise Head Fisherman chooses not to impose a callous punishment upon the wrongdoer. Instead, he benevolently takes the thief under his wing, inviting him to learn the art of fishing.
Once the cutscene is complete, your assigned task will be concluded, and you will receive your reward: a Fortifying Nut and 6000 leaves.
