Rumor: Next Assassin’s Creed game ‘Empire’ will not be released until 2017

We all know the routine by now, new year equals new games as well as a series of new releases of established yearly franchises including Call of Duty and of course Assassin’s Creed or is it. According to Kotaku the next Assassins Creed game is not going to arrive in 2016, instead it is set to launch in 2017 meaning a first time year off in the mainline series. According to the site the game is codenamed Empire and will be set in Egypt with the decision to take a year reportedly being after the launch of Unity. It is worth noting that none of this has yet to be confirmed by Ubisoft so presently this is all still a rumor, until Ubisoft officially says something some time this year, which honestly I am on the fence with.

Furthermore Kotaku has also said that in Assassin’s Creeds place Ubisoft will be releasing Watch Dogs 2 which is will reportedly be set in San Fransisco. Again no official word has been given to know if this is true or not.
