Screenshot Saturday – December 11th

Indie game developers share their work progress every week on Twitter with the #ScreenshotSaturday hashtag. In this piece, we take a look at the most interesting and eye-catching screenshots or short videos of indie games shared on Saturday, December 11.

Game Luster has a Screenshot Saturday round-up every week. You can check out the previous list here.

Desohunter

This video from Desohunter was shared by the developers (@desohunter) in this tweet. We had seen footage of this game in one of our previous round-ups, and the atmosphere and the graphics have become even more impressive. The chained orb with blinking eyes reminded me of D&D’s beholders, and the contrast between the creepy monster and the serene environment is brilliant. You can wishlist Desohunter on Steam right now.

Card Retrieve

These screenshots from the game Card Retrieve were shared by the game’s Twitter page (@CardRetrieve) in this tweet. The cartoonish art style and different environments look adorable, and the idea of playing as a dog in an action card game is intriguing. We will keep an eye out on this game as the development continues.

Path To Etinway

This short video showcasing some combat animations from Path to Etinway was shared by the game’s Twitter page (@PathToEtinway) in this tweet. The art style, the atmosphere, and the animations look inspired by popular games such as Dark Souls and Devil May Cry, and we can’t wait to see more of this project. Path to Etinway is set to release in 2022, and you can wishlist it on Steam to get notified about further announcements.

Souldiers

Another returning game from our Screenshot Saturday round-ups, Souldiers (@souldiersgame) is here with more beautiful screenshots in this tweet. This time, we got to see even more environments and backgrounds from different sections of the game, and it still looks great! We are getting closer to the Souldiers‘ release which is set to be in the Spring of 2022, and you can wishlist the game on Steam now.

Skull Chainz

This video from Skull Chainz was shared by the developer (@Chaoclypse) in this tweet. While the gameplay seems simple, the animations and the visual effects make it into a very unique and fascinating scene. While Skull Chainz is being developed into a full commercial release, you can check out the prototype version of the game on Itch.io right now.

Puzzles For Clef

Puzzles Of Clef

This week, we want to end our round-up with the recently revealed game, Puzzles For Clef. This is a beautiful adventure puzzle game developed by Weasel Token (@WeaselToken) which is set to release in the third quarter of 2022. You can check out the trailer and more footage from the game on their Steam page, and wishlist the game to stay up to date with the development.
