The knight in shining armor, Siegfried, swings his way into Soulcalibur VI as the newest character to be announced. Armed with his gargantuan Zweihander, Siegfried is sure to please fans. As a central character to Soulcalibur’s story and franchise as a whole, he was an expected entry, but he’s sure to please longtime fans of the series.
Siegfried’s character details in the trailer description reads:
“I will not surrender to this nightmare!” Siegfried steps onto the stage of history wielding the massive Zweihander. He has but one reason to fight…to fully free himself from the cursed sword’s grasp!
Along with his massive sword, he’s donned with his iconic, bright armor. His play style looks much the same as previous entries; in the trailer he can be seen flinging enemies up in the air with long strokes of his sword. Siegfried’s gameplay looks very fluid, allowing the player to utilize broad sweeping combos to devastate the opponent.
Siegfried has appeared in every Soulcalibur game. So far, several other characters were announced, many of whom are series regulars as well: Nightmare, Mitsurugi, and Ivy to name a few. Geralt of Rivia, from The Witcher 3, will be the game’s guest character.
