Last March, Yacht Club Games had a highly successful crowdfunding campaign on the website Kickstarter. It earned more than four times the original funding goal, and gained lots of attention for its interesting aesthetic and charming idea. Many people were excited to defeat enemies with their digging prowess on March 31st, but the dirt filled adventure has been delayed. Yacht Club Games had committed to completing the game in less than a year, so the delay is not surprising, but if you are looking forward to this game as much as I am, do not be sad. Yacht Club Games claims that the game is "like... so done!" and that it will only be delayed for "a few weeks". This update is not all bad, however. Besides the cool box art preview (shown above), they have also shown a new batch of screenshots. Fans of Shovel Knight will have to wait, but at least they will not have to wait for long.
I've been playing video games for my entire life. I intend to develop them myself one day, but for now, I'm writing about them.
My favourite games are Pikmin 2, Earthbound, and basically any other game made by Nintendo. I also like Indie games such as Bastion and Thomas Was Alone,
and I hope that my writing will allow independent developers to get the exposure they deserve.
