We just got a new trailer for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds from the Kids’ Choice Awards, and it revealed three brand new crossover franchises making their way into the upcoming racing game’s paid Season Pass. The new Sonic Racing will crossover with SpongeBob SquarePants, which gets the biggest focus in the trailer and shows us a glimpse at the Bikini Bottom course, along with SpongeBob and Patrick as playable characters.
The trailer ends with the reveal of two more upcoming franchises that will get Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds representation too, with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Avatar Legends. No details are shared as to what we’ll get with each collaboration though. Along with the already confirmed Minecraft and SpongeBob collaborations, these four franchises will make up two-thirds of the paid Season Pass for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, with two more unconfirmed franchise collaborations coming too.
Along with the paid Season Pass content, free post-launch racers will be coming throughout the game’s lifecycle, with Hatsune Miku, Joker from Persona 5 and Ichiban Kasuga from Yakuza: Like A Dragon already confirmed to be available for free in future. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launches Sept. 25 on current and last generation PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo consoles, along with Steam and the Epic Games Store on PC.
