There is a lot riding on Starfield‘s upcoming DLC, Shattered Space, as after a less than stellar release, fans are hoping that the game’s highly anticipated expansion will be the game’s saving grace. As of writing, there isn’t much known about the DLC as Bethesda has been rather tight lipped on the expansion. However, the studio has teased that the DLC will focus on House Va’ruun, a major faction within Starfield’s setting.
It’s confirmed Shattered Space is a House Varuun DLC.

We first learned about this detail after Bethesda shared their May update video, which went into details about what has happened to the game since its release. The most interesting part of the video came towards the end, where Starfield‘s Lead Creative Producer, Tim Lamb, revealed that him and the development team were working on additional quests as well as other content surrounding the game’s DLC, Shattered Space. During this segment, while Lamb is going into detail about the game, we are shown footage which shows two large pillars being placed down. A Redditor known as Bradyla123, pointed out that in one frame, we can see some text which seems to involve House Va’ruun.
The Shattered Space DLC has been in development for quite some time, as Bethesda confirmed that the expansion was in the works even before Starfield had been released. As mentioned before, not much has been shown since then, but thanks to the May update video and some keen Redditors, we at least know that one of Starfield‘s most mysterious factions will likely be having a role in its story.
