Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is an exceptional, cozy farming game that you can play for hours straight. The game focuses on gathering and growing resources, but unlike most farming games, there’s no instantaneous way to sell everything. Instead, you’ll have to wait for Saturday and sell everything to the customers in the bazaar. There’s a lot that you can do to make the game more fun, and if you want to get up to speed, the following beginner tips will help you do exactly that.
1. Bathing Can Restore Stamina

While this may seem obvious, it can’t be understated how helpful it is to bath. After you’ve spent some time on your farm and have a fully grown field, simply watering all your crops is going to drain half your stamina, and if you want to forage or do anything else, you won’t have enough stamina to do it.
The best way to go about it is to wake up, water your crops, and after you’ve used up much of your stamina, go take a bath. You can take a bath multiple times in a day, and bathing can restore a ton of stamina. Keep in mind that you’ll have to wait at least 8 hours before taking a bath again. Furthermore, you can also eat cooked meals to restore your stamina, but bathing is free.
To take a bath, you’ll need to head home. Go straight up from the front door and you’ll end up outside the bath. Bathing consumes 30 minutes of in-game time, so be wary of that as well.
2. You Don’t Have To Wait For The Bazaar To Sell Your Crops

While selling your stuff in the bazaar is highly encouraged, there are other ways to sell your crops and everything else if you’re in need of some quick money in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar. You can sell anything you want to the shops in the town or the stalls in the bazaar. They’ll buy your stuff for the same price as the bazaar, and you can sell your crops in bulk, so if you failed to sell all your stock and can’t afford to waste the space in your storage room, you can head to a shop and sell everything to them.
However, you’ll have to keep in mind that selling stuff to stores won’t have any effect on your bazaar review rating, so it’s best not to do it unless you’re trying to make some space. That’s because even common resources like wood and rocks can help you gain a significant amount of cash early on.
3. You Can Catch Bugs

The game doesn’t explicitly tell you early on, but you can catch most of the bugs that you see on the ground in the game. These insects usually run away after you approach them. However, if you press the action button right as you approach these insects, you can catch them.
You can also sell these insects in the bazaar, and some of them can catch a high price. It’s an easy way to earn money if you’re short on stuff to sell, because you’ll find plenty of ladybugs and locusts around the farm and in the town.
4. Eating A Meal Unlocks Its Recipe

Oftentimes, you’ll receive a special meal as a quest completion reward, or you can simply purchase a cooked dish from one of the shops in the town. Once you eat it, you’ll learn its recipe and you’ll be able to cook it by yourself!
Eating these meals grants you stamina, which is super important, especially if you plan to mine some ore or gather other resources. Some meals also provide additional bonuses, such as increased friendship gain or farming and foraging bonuses. Once you’ve learned the recipe, you can head to the kitchen inside your home and cook the meal by using the required ingredients.
5. Check Mail Regularly

The best and easiest way to get freebies in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is to check your mail regularly. This is extremely useful early on when you don’t have enough money to purchase seeds and other resources in bulk. You receive mail just about every day, and some of this mail can also include items. You can spot if mail contains an item by a gift icon on it in the mail menu. You can receive mail from townsfolk and anyone else that you’ve helped out or increased your friendship with.
The mail can also include cooked meals that you can consume to learn its recipe. Once you’ve received an item from the mail, it will be sent to your bag, and then you can use it however you wish.
