The Switch 2 Edition has just been released for Super Mario Party Jamboree, and if you’ve seen anything from the game before but never played it, you might feel like you’re missing a couple of characters. That’s because you are!
Both Pauline and Ninji are not available at the start of Super Mario Party Jamboree, and instead need to be unlocked by collecting them yourself. It’s very easy to do, and only takes a minute or so to get them both. We’ll make it as simple as possible, so get your game ready and follow these steps for unlocking both characters.
How to unlock Pauline in Super Mario Party Jamboree
Not only is she the mayor of New Donk City and a beloved musician, Pauline is also the star of the Switch 2 exclusive Donkey Kong Bananza! You won’t want to miss the chance to try her out as a playable character in Super Mario Party Jamboree, so get ready to unlock this fierce diva.
First, hop into the hot-air balloon in the Party Plaza, and then move the view of your binoculars to a small island on the left of Minigame Bay. If you zoom in by pressing X, you’ll notice Pauline is stood there and glowing! Press ‘A’ to interact with her, and you’ll unlock Pauline as a playable character.
How to unlock Ninji in Super Mario Party Jamboree
Ninja may seem like a much newer character in the Mario universe, but he’s been around for a long time – since Super Mario Bros. 2 way back in 1988! These mischievous creatures may be enemies, but they like to party too. Ninji is another unlockable character in Super Mario Party Jamboree, and he’s very easy to unlock.
Just like with Pauline, jump into the hot-air balloon in Party Plaza and turn the camera towards Rhythm Kitchen. Then, zoom in by pressing X on the taller of the two small hills to the right, directly behind the Kitchen. There, you’ll see the secret hidden Ninji, and can press A to interact with him. Just like that, he’s unlocked and ready to play some Mario Party!
