Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Version 3.0 Update Adds Joker

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate version 3.0 drops on April 17, bringing with it Joker from Persona 5 as a playable character. The announcement was made during a special Super Smash Bros. Ultimate announcement trailer (seen below). Joker brings with him his gun and dagger, along with the ability to summon his Persona Arsene. Joker’s Final Smash is the All-Out Attack. During the Final Smash, Joker summons his fellow Phantom Thieves for a coordinated beatdown. He can also bring out Morgana during one of his taunts.

Joker comes in Ultimate’s first Challenger Pack, which will run for $5.99. He will also be available through the game’s season pass, which will include four more character bundles. The first Challenger pack includes a new level based on Mementos from Persona 5, as well as 11 music tracks from Persona 3, 4, and 5. The Mementos level will change depending on which Persona title the stage’s music comes from.

The new Super Smash Bros Ultimate update will also come with some additional content. This includes the previously leaked Stage Builder. In this mode, players will be able to draw stage plans using the Switch’s touchscreen while in handheld mode. There will be a new video editor, which will allow players to edit gameplay videos and upload them online. There will also be compatibility with Smash World, which is part of the Nintendo Switch Online app. Through this, players will be able to see recommended stages and videos, and will be able to queue them for download through the app, and then play them on the Switch.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
