The new Tamagotchi Plaza released just last week on June 27, and despite some middling reviews, it was a best-selling game on this week’s Famitsu sales chart from Japan. The good news keeps coming for fans of the game though, as Tamagotchi Plaza has officially announced on social media the first of the confirmed future updates that will add new stories and additional shops for the player to work in and progress.
This initial free update will release on July 10, which adds a short story that will come after the main ending of the game. Additional free updates will follow at unspecified dates in the future, and these will bring new shops to progress with new minigames for Tamagotchi Plaza fans to learn and master.
Updates aren’t the only post-launch content being supported in Tamagotchi Plaza though, as free in-game codes are gradually being released online that add new content to the main game. For example, a new code was recently released that allows you to play the Tamagotchi Plaza main theme in your house. You can check out the official Japanese website for a list of these special codes, which work on all copies of Tamagotchi Plaza regardless of region or language.
