Managing your own stores in Tamahiko Town, you need to help some of the most iconic Tamagotchi characters improve the popularity and service of their shops through minigames, earning Gotchi Points which can then be invested back into the town and shops.
Today we’re breaking down the Galette Shop owned by Kuchipatchi in Tamagotchi Plaza, going over the basics of gameplay, some tips and tricks you’ll need to master the art of galette making, and exactly how you can progress your Galette Shop to a Royal rank.
How to play Kuchipatchi’s Galette Shop
The Galette Shop minigame is simple at its core – you’re just going to make galettes to match the picture that comes with the customer’s order. First you’ll match the color for the base of the galette, then you need to mix it, choose the correct shape, and then cook the right fillings and add the necessary toppings.
The first galettes that customers order will be simple, but it will increasingly get more complicated as you rank up your Galette Shop. Later orders might even ditch the galette’s cooked fillings, instead being entirely reliant on your decoration skills to match all the requested toppings in the pattern you’re asked to copy.
Bonus tips for maximum points
Whilst the basics are easy to understand, there are some gameplay elements that aren’t made immediately obvious. The first is that you actually need to press the Y button to fold the galette into the shape that was requested by your guests, as the game doesn’t automatically do it for you and it doesn’t tell you to either. Once you’ve selected the shape for the galette and filled it with ingredients, press Y before progressing to see it fold into your desired shape. Keep in mind that once folded it will automatically be lifted and take you through to the next step.
It’s important to keep track of how long your galette cooks, as the mixture and ingredients all actually change appearance when cooking. If someone wants a galette with an empty strawberry base for example, it’s not enough to just pour the mixture out and then progress. As you cook, the shade of pink will change to a slightly darker shade, which indicates that it’s ready to progress through to the topping stage. Putting it through too early will get you a lower result, so make sure your ingredients are being cooked properly, whilst also being careful not to burn them.
How to progress Kuchipatchi’s Galette Shop
With these tips in mind, you’re ready to master the Galette Shop and see its progression. Prince Tamahiko will appear when you’ve earned enough Gotchi to progress, and will request a special order that, once completed, will prompt you to upgrade the shop level. Each time you progress, you’ll unlock new galette recipes, orders that use different gameplay mechanics such as sauces, and you’ll earn more Gotchi with each order too!
To unlock the final rank, keep playing and earning Gotchi until you get a surprise appearance from Princess Tamahiko, and be ready for her special tricky order. Once fulfilled, you’ll have a Royal rank Galette Shop, ready to make maximum profits for you. And of course, you’ll have a very happy Kuchipatchi too, and that’s always a good thing!
