Twitch Viewing App Coming To PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Vita

The PlayStation 4 has always had the ability to steam to Twitch, but the same cannot be said for viewing any Twitch streams.
It was announced today during TwitchCon that PlayStation users will finally be able to stream Twitch to their consoles.

The announcement of the new Twitch viewing app that will be released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Vita will allow viewers to watch any stream, including non-PlayStation streams, and has full chat support.

Although Twitch fans have always been able to watch Twitch streams through the PlayStation browser, it is a relief to see a dedicated app that allows users to watch their streams without any hassle.

There are many new updates to Twitch including a whole new playlist system that allows users to rotate through videos of offline channels, and a full upgrade from Flashplayer to HTML5. It has also been announced that users will soon be able to upload videos to their Twitch channels that have been pre-edited.

The new Twitch Viewing app is set to be released this fall.
