Vampire: The Masquerade – Shadows of New York, has been given a release date. Shadows Of New York will see the light of day on September 10, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
The game will serve as a standalone expansion to Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York, set some time after the game’s events, featuring recurring characters from the world of Cotaries too.
The story of Shadows Of New York focuses on the murder of faction leader: the Anarch Baron of New York City, and features two endings. Unlike the upcoming Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, Shadows of New York is a visual novel, in which the player explores the world solely through dialogue.
The Deluxe Edition of Shadows Of New York for PC, according to Draw Distance, will include an art book and soundtrack.

This comes just as it was announced that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 would be delayed until sometime in 2021. Hardsuit Labs and Paradox Interactive released a joint statement to announce the delay of the long-awaited vampire RPG sequel.
“Our goal has always been to deliver the best game possible, to immerse you into a Seattle re-imagined in the World of Darkness, and deliver a worthy successor to the original Bloodlines game.”
The studios further explained that “due to the quality bar and ambitions we have set for ourselves, we have made the difficult decision that we need more time.”
This is the second time Bloodlines 2 has been delayed. The title was originally slated for March 2020, before being shelved for later in the year, and now 2021. In a blog post, the developers reflected on “some of the issues that plagued the first game, which was famously launched too early.”
“Over the last few months, it became clear that to stick to our original date would risk repeating that mistake[…] In the end, everyone working on this game wants to offer you the best Bloodlines 2 we can.”
