It turns out Microsoft’s Shenanigans have not ended. GameSyndrome is reporting that Xbox Games will have a one-time activation code, much like Xbox’s plan back in E3 2013. Chinese Xbox’s will also be region locked, adding to the restrictions.
This is quite a jump from Microsoft’s apologies back in the summer of 2013. This may be as a result of the strict laws in China, and to prevent the importing of American Xbox’s.
Microsoft is yet to comment on the legitimacy of the story.
