20 Bethesda Games Coming to Xbox Game Pass

Recently, Microsoft finalized their acquisition of Bethesda Softworks and other companies under the umbrella of ZeniMax Media. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer announced soon after the finalization that a number of popular Bethesda titles would be added to Xbox’s Game Pass subscription service. However, he only recently confirmed just how many Bethesda titles subscribers could expect to see.

According to a statement made by Xbox officials during a round table discussion of the Bethesda acquisition, no fewer than twenty Bethesda games will be made available via the subscription service. These include popular titles from series such as Dishonored, Doom, The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, and more.

The majority of these titles will be available via Cloud Play for subscribers who have purchased the Ultimate version of Xbox Game Pass. The exceptions are Fallout: New Vegas, The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, and The Elder Scrolls Online.

During the round table discussion, it was asked whether these games would be eligible for the FPS Boost service currently available for some titles on the next-generation Xbox Series X and Series X consoles. The response was that “a handful” of these games would, but which specific titles were not yet clarified.

Phil Spencer has stated that it is possible that some future Bethesda (and other ZeniMax company) titles would become Xbox console exclusives. However, he is committed to honoring the previously existing one-year PlayStation console exclusivity deals for two upcoming titles, Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo.
