Helldivers 2 continues to do the impossible. Just a few weeks after announcing its release date on Xbox, Arrowhead Game Studios and PlayStation have shared a special Warbond that specifically targets the ODST aesthetic from the Halo universe. Becoming not only in one of the first PlayStation IPs to release on the Xbox platform, but also the first in having a special collaboration between PlayStation and Xbox.
It has always been clear that Starship Trooper was not the only inspiration for Helldivers 2, and that some elements of the Halo Helljumpers were present as well. This new Warbond makes that inspiration even bigger since it includes weapons and cosmetics that completely resembles those from Halo ODST. The iconic MA5C Assault Rifle, the M7S SMG and more, are now in the Helldivers galaxy. For those looking to be even more immersed in the Halo look, the A-8 Helljumper, the A-35 Recon armor sets, and other cosmetics items will help you achieve that.
This new Warbond releases August 26, but cosmetics and weapons are not the only thing that arrive with this collaboration. This update also introduces Legendary Warbonds, which cost 1,500 Super Credits, a bit more expensive than the standard ones. However, the items included in these Legendary Warbonds are more unique and rarer than previous standard ones.
