Amazon Prime Gaming has revealed its May 2026 lineup, and it’s headlined by two titles worth paying attention to: Mafia 2: Definitive Edition is the lead free PC claim this month, available right now via a GOG code, while Resident Evil 2 joins the Amazon Luna streaming catalog alongside five other notable additions, as reported by Polygon. All told, Prime members are looking at 11 claimable PC games spread across the month, with codes redeemable through Epic Games Store, GOG, Amazon Games, and Legacy Games.
Here’s the full May 2026 free PC game lineup for Amazon Prime members:
- Mafia 2: Definitive Edition (GOG) – available now
- Fruitbus (GOG) – available now
- Survival: Fountain of Youth (Amazon Games) – May 14
- 60 Minutes to Extinction: Escape Room (GOG) – May 14
- Lethal Honor: Order of the Apocalypse (Epic Games Store) – May 14
- Space Grunts (GOG) – May 21
- Palindrome Syndrome: Escape Room (GOG) – May 21

Mafia 2: Definitive Edition is the 2020 remaster of the 2010 action-adventure original – you play a war veteran getting tangled up with the Sicilian mob in fictional Empire Bay, New York. It carries over 8,000 Mostly Positive user reviews on Steam, and the original sits at over 10,000 Very Positive, so the series has a genuine fanbase behind it. Fair warning: the Definitive Edition’s visual upgrade is modest at best – you’re getting the game, not a significant graphical overhaul.
On the Luna streaming side, Resident Evil 2 is the real draw – the 2019 remake remains one of the best survival horror games of the last decade, full stop. Also newly available to stream in May are Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Alien: Isolation, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, and LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga – that’s a genuinely strong streaming month. Note that Luna access to these titles is time-limited and subject to rotation, unlike the claimable PC codes which you keep permanently even after your Prime subscription ends.
Here’s the real read: Amazon Prime Gaming continues to punch below Game Pass – you can see exactly what Microsoft is serving up this month in our Xbox Game Pass May 2026 Wave 2 breakdown – but framing it as a direct competitor misses the point. This is a bundled perk that comes with your Prime subscription, not a standalone gaming service you’re paying extra for. Judged on those terms, Mafia 2 as a permanent keep plus Resident Evil 2 on Luna makes May one of the more recognizable months the service has put together. The PlayStation Plus Essential May lineup remains a stronger proposition for dedicated console players, but if you’re already paying for Prime, there’s no reason not to claim what’s on offer.
Is Resident Evil 2 on Luna enough to finally get you to fire up cloud streaming, or is Mafia 2 the permanent keep that makes this month worthwhile? Sound off in the comments below, and keep your eyes on GameLuster for more Amazon Prime Gaming coverage.
