There’s so much you can do in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It’s easy to spend several real-world days fishing, traveling to other islands, harvesting fruit, interacting with your villagers and more. One particularly beloved feature is using the in-game Tailor Shop to create adorable, fashionable custom clothing.
Players can upload their designs to the Internet and download outfits created by others. In order to make this process easier, one extremely clever fan has taken a “leaf” out of businessman (or would that be business-raccoon?) Tom Nook’s book and created an extensive database for storing custom designs and sharing them with one another.
The database’s creator, who goes by the name plump_tomato, first shared their idea on the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Reddit community. They shared a video showing how the database will work and encouraged other New Horizons players to create and submit their very own custom designs. The post attracted a large amount of positive attention and grateful comments.

You can search Nookipedia for designs either by the type of clothing or the title of the entry. Hundreds of designs are featured on the site, including outfits inspired by other popular video game franchises such as Pokemon, Mario and The Legend of Zelda. Dress up as your favorite character or try out something completely new and creative!
In order to create and share custom clothing designs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you must first unlock the Tailor Shop, owned and operated by the Able Sisters. In order to do so, you must first get hedgehog Mabel to visit the island, then buy clothing at her temporary stand until she begins talking to you about opening her very own shop. After that, Mabel and her sister Sabel will officially move to your island on the next in-game day.
Once you’ve got the shop, unlock the Pro Design Tool using the in-game currency Nook Miles to start crafting your brand new outfits. Use the Kiosk, located at the back of the store, to upload your designs and download those created by others.
