You may remember last week it was confirmed that the long awaited Art Academy game for the Wii U was set for release in June this month for Europe, Nintendo has now confirmed a release for North America. The game originally titled Art Academy: Atelier has now been renamed Art Academy: Home Studio a much smarter name in my opinion.

Art Academy: Home Studio is set to arrive with the same general features of the original games but with a few new features included.

Art Academy: Home Studio is packed with an expanded variety of lessons ranging from simple how-tos to real world painting techniques. Another new addition is the inclusion of 360 degree landscapes from which the player can draw inspiration. By far, the nicest inclusion is a new time lapse feature, allowing players to upload a time lapse of their work to YouTube when they finish.
Art Academy: Home Studio is set to arrive on the Wii U eShop on June 25th, those in North America can currently pre-purchase the game via the eShop.
