We’ve all been waiting for the Battlefield 6 Open Beta, and it’s finally here. Despite launching on a weekday, and incredibly late in the United States where a big chunk of Battlefield‘s audience is, the Open Beta for Battlefield 6 just destroyed franchise records over on Steam with a jaw-dropping peak player count.
Just a few hours after its launch, Battlefield 6‘s Open Beta has a concurrent 315,000 users playing on Steam, and it’s still riisng. This is an incredible concurrent player count, and blasts every single other Battlefield entry out of the water. For comparison, the Battlefield game with the highest peak player count on Steam in the past was Battlefield V with 116,000 players at its peak, then Battlefield 2042 with 107,000 during its best performance period.

It’s expected that the Battlefield 6 Open Beta would do well, as it is completely free. However, to see almost triple the player count from Battlefield‘s former Steam concurrent player count peak in just a few hours is a sight to behold, and a promising sign of what’s to come at launch. As long as the much-anticipated Open Beta is received well, we expect to see this number continue to soar, as EA goes “all in” on their most ambitious Battlefield yet.
