Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Officially Coming this Fall

Publisher Activision has officially announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be coming in October.

The announcement comes after a week of rumors about a possible reveal and a tease from the NBA on the ESPN twitter account (of all places) with James Harden wearing a hat with four Roman numerals shaped in the Black Ops logo.

Although they did give an official release date of October 12 for the game, Activision and developer Treyarch have not shared any more information, stating that more will be coming May 17. As E3 2018 will be occurring right after that date, it’s very likely we will see more then, as well.

The fall release date will mark the first time in recent memory that a game in the Call of Duty franchise will be released in October. It is rumored that the company chose this date in lieu of Rockstar’s announcement of Red Dead Redemption 2 being released October 26.

Activision was asked if a port was coming to the Nintendo Switch, but they declined to comment.
