Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Launch Trailer – The Stakes Are Raised

A launch trailer for Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been released, and the new promo footage sets the stakes higher than ever before. There are dune buggy chases in the middle of a desert, snowmobile shootouts, Ronald Reagan, and explosions galore, all of which is soundtracked by a stomping remix to New Order’s “Blue Monday.”

With less than three weeks to go until the game’s official release, take a look at the latest promotional footage for Black Ops Cold War below.

In recent months, we’ve been provided with more and more details about the sequel of 2010’s best-selling Black Ops title. There’s a new zombies mode, a four-person co-op mode that is a throwback to the classic Call of Duty: World at War map, “Nacht der Untoten”. Then there were the four exclusive minutes of gameplay footage in September. A mission to positively identify and take down a target by the name of Arash culminates in a dramatic chase before an RC-XD is employed to down a cargo plane in a rather fiery, awesome fashion.

The game’s description cites that players will be dropped into “the dark center of this global conspiracy alongside iconic characters Woods, Mason, and Hudson and a new cast of operatives attempting to stop a plot decades in the making.”

Meanwhile, KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov makes a stark warning of a spy going by the codename of Perseus, whose infiltrated Western Intelligence to subvert the U.S in a bid to win the Arms Race, employing a process called Active Measures.

As the days count down toward the game’s release, a peek behind the curtain of Black Ops Cold War resulted in the game’s beta becoming the most downloaded-beta in the franchise.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be released on November 13, 2020, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
