The release date has finally been confirmed for Dead by Daylight‘s upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s-themed Chapter DLC, as Springtrap makes his way into the Fog as a new killer. The new content is set to release on June 17, and will launch with a bunch of new cosmetics for Springtrap along with new shirts for the original Dead by Daylight survivors.
Along with all the new Five Nights at Freddy’s themed content, we also got an explanation as to what Springtrap’s powers and perks will be in the realm of the Entity. When playing as Springtrap, security doors will spawn across the map which both survivors and Springtrap can travel between, whilst survivors use cameras to look through and try to reveal Springtrap’s location to fellow survivors. Springtrap can freely travel through these doors whilst survivors will have restrictions, and if Springtrap walks through a door whilst you’re looking through it then you’re going to get grabbed!
As for cosmetics, Springtrap will launch with four new cosmetics inspired by other Five Nights at Freddy’s media, from an unmasked William Afton Springtrap skin inspired by the movie to a Glitchtrap skin, the main antagonist from Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted. For survivors, all original Dead by Daylight survivor characters will be getting Five Nights at Freddy’s shirts, advertising that dreaded Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. The Five Nights at Freddy’s Chapter for Dead by Daylight launches on June 17 for all platforms.
