Behaviour Interactive are currently hosting their PAX East showcase both in-person and online to celebrate the nine year anniversary of Dead by Daylight. After an extremely long wait, we’ve finally had our first extensive look at the Five Night’s at Freddy’s licensed collaboration chapter. The new killer being added to Dead by Daylight that will represent the franchise is Springtrap, putting players inside the iconic and horrific suit.
Whilst no details were given as to what perks will be added in the update, the developers did confirm that the Five Night’s at Freddy’s DLC chapter will come with cosmetics that can alter Springtrap into a suited William Afton, with actor Matthew Lillard providing both likeness and voice over work based on his movie appearance. Additionally, the legendary Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria will be added as a map, playable for all killers and survivors looking to survive the wrath of the Entity.
The crossover looks incredibly impressive based on the previews we had, with a vivid and colorful Pizzeria map serving both a fun and spooky contrast to the extremely chilling and robotic Springtrap. We can’t wait to see how the new Five Nights at Freddy’s killer works with their perks, and what teased new gameplay features we can expect in the next chapter.
