Dead By Daylight Announces The Witcher Cosmetic Collaboration

Today continues the Year 9 anniversary celebrations of horror multiplayer game Dead by Daylight. A hotly anticipated event that was held in person at PAX East and streamed online gave us glimpses at all we can expect in the year ahead, such as a deeper look at the long-awaited Five Nights at Freddy‘s chapter. However, developers Behaviour Interactive had another surprise IP crossover up their sleeve, as they revealed a brand new The Witcher collection of cosmetics coming to Dead by Daylight this June, along with a dedicated Chaos Shuffle game mode.

The new collection comes with two Legendary skins that completely overwrite existing characters with a brand new model based on their The Witcher appearance, with fully voiced protagonist Geralt coming as a Legendary cosmetic for Vittorio, and the Leshen monster as a Legendary cosmetic for killer The Artist. There will also be Very Rare outfits that dress up existing Dead by Daylight characters in The Witcher gear, these being Kate Denson as Yennefer, Sable Ward as Ciri, Mikaela Reid as Triss and killer The Knight as Eredin.

The Chaos Shuffle game mode that will release with The Witcher collection will come with rewards based on the legendary RPG. One of them that received a particular highlight with applause from the audience was a Player Card that features Geralt relaxing in a bath tub with his feet up. We’re sure we know why the internet and the audience enjoyed that image, as Geralt in the bath has been an iconic franchise visual since The Witcher 3 released all the way back in 2015.
