Dead Island 2: How To Get Curveballs

In Dead Island 2, as you progress through the game story’s, survival becomes even more difficult as you start encountering powerful zombies. To survive the onslaught, you need every extra weapon you can get. This is where Curveballs come into play.Curveballs are throwable items in Dead Island 2 that you can use to kill or distract multiple enemies simultaneously.

Dead Island 2: How To Get Curveballs

Dead Island 2 offers 13 different Curveballs, but you can use only two Curveballs at once during an ongoing fight. If you want to use other Curveballs, just make your way to the Inventory menu and replace one throwable with the other. Below, we have provided a complete list of the Curveballs offered in the game:

Chem Bomb

  • Location: You can find this Curveball lying on the ground on the second floor of the Halperin Hotel.
  • Ability: It extinguishes flames near the Zombies, making them soggy and traumatized.

Meat Bait

Meat Bait

  • Location: You can obtain this Curveball from Carlos while completing the Call the Cavalry mission in Bel-Air.
  • Ability: A rotten meat used to distract or lure Zombies for a short duration. Great for when you need to escape!

Pipe Bomb

Pipe Bomb

  • Location: While heading towards the Monarch Studios through the streets, look for a yellow-colored crate. You will find your Curveball on top of it.
  • Ability: It explodes once you throw it toward the ZombiesThis will take a few seconds.

Nail Bomb 

  • Location: You can buy it from Ezekiel in Lifeguard HQ.
  • Ability: On being thrown, it will explode, inflicting a bleeding status effect on the Zombies.

Bait Bomb

  • Location: Complete the main game story mission, “The Search For Truth.” Once done, you can buy it from the trader in Serling Hotel.
  • Ability: Covered in flesh, this Curveball will lure Zombies and explode as soon as they come near to it.

Electric Bomb

  • Location: Upon completing the Lost and Found quest line, you can collect this Curveball from Venice Beach.
  • Ability: Deals high levels of damage to multiple enemies with its electric explosion. This explosion covers a massive radius.

Shuriken

  • Location: On your way to Halperin Hotel, this Curveball is stuck on the window of the first car you encounter.
  • Ability: Deals physical damage to Zombies when thrown toward them.

Molotov Cocktail

  • Location: When heading to Brentwood Sewer, you can locate it on top of a table.
  • Ability: It is a bottle filled with fuel. Once you throw it at the enemies, it will burn them with its flames, leaving them ignited.

Flashbang

  • Location: You can buy this Curveball from the trader residing in the Venice Tower.
  • Ability: Its explosion can traumatize a large number of Zombies at once. Moreover, it can counter Zombies in the center of the blast.

Military Grenade

  • Location: Reach the Monarch Studios and collect this Grenade as a reward for completing the side quest named Boz Makes A Bang.
  • Ability: It is a military explosive that covers a large area and inflicts damage to multiple enemies.

Caustic-X Bomb

Caustic X

  • Location: You must complete a specific side quest, The Rav-Ages of Caustic X, to acquire this Curveball from Halperin Hotel.
  • Ability: This Curveball can melt nearby Zombies with its Caustic-X explosion.

Electric Star

Electric Star

  • Location: This curve ball is stuck on the metal gate in Brentwood’s Water Treatment facility. Go and collect it from there.
  • Ability: Inflicts shock damage to Zombies.

Sticky Bomb

  • Location: You can purchase it from the Serling Hotel located on Ocean Avenue.
  • Ability: On being thrown, this Curveball sticks to enemies’ bodies and explodes after a few seconds.
