Deep Silver has revealed the Dead Island Definitive Collection to be coming to the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Within this collection will be remastered versions of both Dead Island as well as Dead Island Riptide, this will also be tied in with all matters of downloadable content that were ever released for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. Both titles retain their core structure, including the addicting four-player co-op. In addition, Dead Island Definitive Collection employs higher quality textures, a new photorealistic lighting system, physically based shading, anti-aliasing, and improved models.
In addition to the original games a new game will also be included in the collection in the form of Dead Island Retro Revenge. This game will be a classic 2D sidescroller featuring melee-based combat. There will be power-ups, super attacks, and a combo system that will give players a way to slay zombies in style.
Dead Island Definitive Collection is out May 31 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC for $39.99. Player can also buy Dead Island Definitive Edition and Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition as standalone downloadable titles for $14.99 each. Should you choose to buy the original games separately you will not be receiving Dead Island Retro Revenge for free.
