A new Kirby game was announced during today’s Nintendo Direct, titled Kirby: Planet Robobot the new game has even been given a release date of June 10th in North America and Europe. The new game uses the visual stylings of 2014’s Kirby Triple Deluxe but also adds a whole lot of new abilities, and also a brand new mechanized suit of armor for Kirby to wear. Much like Kirby, the armor can take on new forms and abilities that changes its functions and powers, this should add some interesting new additions to the gameplay and put a spin on the classic formula.
Nintendo also announced that a line of four Kirby amiibo will launch alongside Kirby: Planet Robobot, including Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Waddle Dee. Tapping the amiibo while playing Kirby: Planet Robobot will grant players exclusive costumes and abilities.
