It seems horror protagonist Isaac Clarke couldn’t wait to leave the dark, abandoned hallways of the USG Ishimura space station. The Dead Space main man is headed to join 99 other players on the Island. That’s right: straight from the iconic horror game series, ship system specialist Isaac Clarke is headed to Fortnite as part of the battle royale’s Strange Transmission Quest Pack.
Fortnite’s latest addition comes just a few days before the remake of the original Dead Space game launches on January 27th 2023. If players purchase Epic Games’ latest pack, they will receive Isaac Clarke’s signature outfit and a few of his trusty weapons. This pack includes the RIG Back Bling, themed after Clarke’s iconic HP-indicating HUD replacement; the USG Ishimura Back Bling, a wearable, mini version of Dead Space‘s main ship setting; and the Plasma Cutter Pickaxe, which models Fortnite‘s favourite blunt object after a much more precise weapon. The Plasma Cutter Pickaxe also comes with a Bench Upgrade Emote, allowing players to equip and unequip the weapon at will.
In addition, players can earn up to 1,500 V-Bucks and more special in-game items.
Chapter 4 of Fortnite has already added some familiar faces to Epic Games’ popular battle royale shooter. Geralt of Rivia and Doom Slayer have joined the battle, and Isaac is just one of more to come. As the first season of Fortnite Chapter 4 comes to a close, information about what’s to come in season two looms, likely to be revealed sometime next month. Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 will begin on March 11th 2023, while EA Motive’s Dead Space Remake will be out on January 27th 2023.
