Discounty is a store management game, and to make sure your place thrives, there are certain factors to consider. Make sure you take care of some essential tasks on a daily basis. Planning ahead will also help you in better management of your little mart. Stocking up items and taking care of your inventory strategically is crucial, and the following tips and tricks will help you become a better manager, regardless of experience!
Manage Your Inventory

Your inventory is very limited at the start of the game. It also makes stocking items very challenging, as you can’t hold too many items. We recommend keeping an eye on your stock and grabbing only those items that are about to run out on the shelves. You can purchase an additional pocket after completing some Discounty challenges, so you should prioritize that.
Quickly restock shelves, so your inventory is clear again. You will also want to clear inventory before heading out for shopping. If your inventory is full, you can get shelves delivered to your shop, but they will be taken all the way to the back of the shop, which can be a little inconvenient.
Be Fast At Checkout

Customers lose their patience quickly waiting for their turn at the cash register. You really need to be swift here, and if you are bad at mental calculation, you should try to remember prices. You won’t have to turn over price sheets repeatedly that way, which should save you a few seconds.
The calculator you own can multiply the price by the quantity of items, which is a swift process, making memorization seem even more essential. You will also get a barcode scanner as you progress through the game, which is a worthy purchase you should prioritize.
Make sure to hurry towards checkout, though, you don’t want a customer waiting there. The happier your customers, the more additional money you will make.
Work On Quests

Discounty is very narrative-driven, so talk to characters to learn more about the town. Complete quests to get familiar with everything and make progress with your store as well. You will also meet dealers as part of your quest, who will sell you additional items. Expanding your store also requires you to go through a series of quests.
Purchase Additional Shelves

Every time you unlock a new item, make sure that you have enough shelves to place it in your shop. You really can’t be swapping items when your customers are looking for them, as it can be detrimental to customer service. If you don’t have money to purchase shelves, you should not unlock more items.
Ideally, we recommend placing two shelves with the same items so your stock lasts longer, but one of them is the least you should do. Make sure to adjust the shop’s layout with them, so they are easier to stock. Place them closer to your storage room, and make sure that the shelves are close to each other.
You can also stock up accordingly by checking the preferences of your customers while they are shopping. The items you previously stocked will be shown in a translucent way, so you can place the same items there again. Keeping the layout consistent will help you remember the item locations, making you faster.
Recycle To Earn Money

Discounty emphasizes a lot on recycling and cleaning the environment. You can pick up disposed items around the world and take them to the recycling area for cash. Make sure to also take your empty boxes every night after you close the shop. You can empty all your pockets to take as many boxes with you as possible.
Plan For The Next Day

Planning for the next day is crucial to running a successful Discounty store. You should place posters to attract more customers, and stock up on items to make sure you don’t run out in the middle of your shift. Your PDA will show you important sales data at the end of every day, which can help you manage your store better.
We hope these tips helped you on your Discounty journey, and stay tuned to GameLuster for more gaming guides and news coverage.
