Famitsu Sales: Donkey Kong Country Returns HD Spends Month On Top

Every Thursday we share the weekly Famitsu sales charts, which tracks physical boxed game sales and hardware sales in Japan. This week’s chart covers Feb. 10 – 16, as Donkey Kong Country Returns HD once again takes the top spot, and celebrates its fourth week at #1 on the charts. Yes, it’s been an entire month of Kong Madness, and we predict this week may be its last, thanks to some upcoming big releases that should finally be enough to dethrone the king of the jungle.

There were two new releases this week, but they didn’t make too huge a splash. First up is Urban Myth Dissolution Center, which opens at #4 thanks to 6,000 units sold. It’s followed at #8 by Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, selling 3,000 units in the past week. Both of these titles were on Switch, making the entire top 10 Nintendo Switch releases.
