The next story set in the galaxy far, far away is set to be released next month and to tie in we get a Disney Infinity Play Set that ties in with the movie. Ordinarily we would probably consider a movie tie in to be a bad omen but with Disney Infinity there is actually hope, and the first gameplay trailer that Disney and Lucasfilm have shared does actually look pretty decent. The Force Awakens Play Set will be the first part of the videogame retelling of the upcoming movie.
You’ll play as Finn, a soldier on a path to adventured and danger, and Rey, a resourceful and capable survivor. As these characters you’ll encounter Poe Dameron, a trusted pilot of the Resistance, and do battle with Kylo Ren, an enforcer for the New Order. The Play Set comes with Finn and Rey, with Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron being sold separately.
Disney Infinity 3.0’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens Play Set will be available on November 18th the same day as the new movie, so if you enjoy the movie you can rush out and pick up the Play Set to have even more fun. You can watch the new trailer below:
