The release date of Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 has been officially announced by Scott Cawthon, and it is much sooner than we expected.
It was generally believed that Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 would see a Halloween release, showcasing its new Nightmare Animatronics in their full glory. However, it appears that we will be able to play Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 a lot earlier than we thought.
The newest teaser image uploaded to ScottGames doesn’t seem that special when compared to its predecessors. It follows the same name pattern, sporting the file name “4”, and sports the usual need to be edited in Photoshop in order to be seen clearly. However as fans know, Scott usually posts any teaser images he uploads to the site onto the indiedb page, this one specifically stands out due to the file name
As you can see, the image is identical to the one on the official website. However, the file name has been changed from “4” to “8815” (or 8/8/15).
That’s right, Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 is set to be released on 8/8/15, marking the 1 year anniversary of the franchise.
The first trailer will reveal more to us in a weeks time.
Scott Cawthon has announced that there will be free DLC released for Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 on Halloween. This begs the question; Since the date on the previous teasers all say Halloween, are these ‘Nightmare’ animatronics simply DLC for the game? If so, what will the main game include? So far, the only lead we have is the latest teaser image of ‘Plushtrap’ (Named by Scott in the source code of the site).
