With the latest season of Fortnite here with Chapter 6 Season 1: Hunters, Epic have made some changes to how the monthly Fortnite Crew subscription plan works. The new Fortnite Crew offers players a lot more for their money, but also changes the way players were once entitled to the accompanying Battle Pass that comes with a Crew subscription. We’re going to break it all down so you can make an informed choice as to how you’re going to get the latest Fortnite Battle Pass.
How things used to work with Fortnite Crew is that being a Crew member once entitled you to full Battle Pass ownership for the entire season, even if you cancelled. Now, however, you will only be able to claim Battle Pass rewards from any of the provided bundled Fortnite passes in the new Crew subscription whilst you are an active paying subscriber. This means if you cancel your subscription, you can no longer unlock premium rewards on any Battle Pass once your paid subscription period ends – including the newly added LEGO Pass, Fortnite OG Pass or Music Pass.
It’s worth keeping in mind you will still have access to everything you unlocked before your subscription to Fortnite Crew expired, and renewing your subscription will immediately grant access to claiming rewards from all Fortnite passes again. Additionally, you can still purchase a Battle Pass or any other Fortnite pass with V-Bucks, with unlimited access regardless of Crew status as you paid for it. If you’re struggling to complete a pass before your subscription expires, you can always consider using the 1,000 V-Bucks you got monthly for being a member to purchase the pass and complete when your subscription lapses.
