Fortnite Twitch Drops: How To Get The Free Pickaxe Available Right Now

We’re getting a new wave of Fortnite Twitch drops, rewards for watching Fortnite streamers playing Fortnite during a certain time period. The first Twitch Drop is available right now, and will award players with a Command Executor Pickaxe for completing the specified watch time requirement for unlock. Here’s exactly how you can get the free Command Executor Pickaxe, and how to set yourself to unlock the future Twitch Drop cosmetics too!

Firstly, you need to link your Epic Games account with your Twitch account. This can be done by going to your Epic Games account connections page, and then linking your Twitch account that you’ll be using to watch Fortnite streamers. Once this is done, head over to the Fortnite category on Twitch, and choose a streamer that you’d like to watch during the event.

The Command Executor Pickaxe is stylish, and free if you’re using the limited-time Twitch Drops.

Watching the Fortnite streamer of your choice for one full hour will reward you with the Command Executor pickaxe in-game – it’s okay to watch in pieces, such as in two 30-minute sections, as it tracks your watch time cumulatively. The Command Executor Twitch Drop is only available from right now until March 31 at 12 AM ET – that’s 4 AM UTC or 5 AM for those in CET.

This is just the first wave of Fortnite Twitch Drops, with the following waves over the next week set to introduce unlockable Mortal Kombat-themed Wraps for weapons, along with a Lil’ Armored Truck Emote. We’ll be sure to break down those rewards as they become available too, so keep your eyes on GameLuster for more quick Fortnite guides and tips when free rewards are available!
