Good news, everyone! A collaboration between the battle royale Fortnite and legendary sci-fi adult animation series Futurama has been announced, with the full reveal set for tomorrow. The news came from the official Fortnite account, with a short video of the Planet Express ship crashing into a Mega City billboard, mirroring the iconic intro of the series.
Details on what exactly to expect are sparse, but we can make some educated guesses. Fortnite is no stranger to collaborations with animated series, such as the Dragon Ball and Naruto collaborations, or even the recent Miles Morales skins from the animated Sony movie series. As such, it’s probably a safe bet to assume that the main trio of Fry, Leela and Bender will appear in cel-shaded form, just like the other animated skins have used. This same art style can even be seen on the Planet Express ship in the short teaser clip.

An apparent 4chan leak that has been circulating in the Fortnite community reinforces our prediction of Fry, Leela and Bender skins. This leak also goes further, alleging that the Fortnite collaboration will include a mind-control parasite Back Bling with Fry’s skin, and a Nibbler Back Bling for Leela. Though no validation has been given for this leak at the moment, they are certainly good guesses.
The potential of the Futurama collaboration with Fortnite is certainly exciting for fans of the series.
