Fortnite’s Futurama Collaboration Out Now, And It’s Great

Welcome to the item shop of tomorrow! Fortnite has officially released their Futurama collaboration, and it’s everything fans hoped it would be. The reveal came with a short trailer, showing the Planet Express ship crashing into a Mega City billboard, followed by the main trio of Fry, Leela and Bender descending from the sky on their gliders. The Planet Express crew has been on many dangerous missions, but the Fortnite island may be their toughest yet.

Alongside the trio of new skins comes a set of matching Back Blings, with a Hypnotoad for Fry, Nibbler for Leela and the little baby ‘bot Ben Rodríguez for Bender. The full skin and Back Bling set can be purchased in the Futurama bundle for 2,800 V-Bucks. For fans who can’t get enough, there’s also a Futurama gear bundle for an additional 1,800 V-Bucks, which gets you a Planet Express ship glider, Zoidberg scuttle emote, and a trio of Harvesting Tools including a giant nutcracker, a solid gold fiddle and a bent “unbendable” girder. The full Futurama cosmetic set in Fortnite will set you back a whopping 4,600 V-Bucks in total.

For Futurama fans, this is a ‘shut up and take my money’ situation.

Fortnite is known for it’s well-timed crossovers, and this one is no different. The collaboration comes as the latest reboot of Futurama begins, with the adult animated series being un-cancelled for its second time, now dropping new episodes weekly on Hulu. This latest Fortnite drop also gets us a step closer to the long-rumored Family Guy crossover, featuring the iconic Peter Griffin. Time will tell what collaborations we get next, but with Fortnite the sky’s the limit.
