Frostpunk 2 Getting Special Edition PC Boxed Set Release

We hope you’re ready to brace the cold, as Frostpunk 2 is almost here, with it set to release just next month on September 20. Whilst the game’s initial release will be a digital one, Skybound Games and 11 bit studios have partnered to announce the Frostpunk 2 PC Special Edition! As the name suggests, this is a PC-only physical boxed set, which includes a digital Frostpunk 2 Deluxe Edition, alongside a bunch of other goodies.

For $100, one of the items fans of the franchise will get is a Frostpunk 2-themed LED shadowbox, with multiple layers combining to create an illuminated centerpiece of Frostpunk 2‘s eye-catching key art. This comes alongside a keychain made of metal and enamel also representing the game’s key art, some stickers and two art postcards, one of two possible faction patches representing the technocrats or icebloods, and of course the Frostpunk 2 Deluxe Edition with a Steam key. Check out the trailer right here.

Players must face the most vicious nature Frostpunk 2 has to offer – human nature.

The deluxe edition of the game comes with 3 future DLCs, a digital artbook and soundtrack, as well as a digital novella, which will be leading into the future Frostpunk Book Anthology collection. If that’s not enough – the Frostpunk 2 PC Special Edition box is also numbered, due to its limited nature! If you’re particularly looking forward to managing the divided factions of a city far more populated than that found in the original Frostpunk, along with all the chaos that comes with it, the Frostpunk 2 PC Special Edition might be worth a look!

The Frostpunk 2 PC Special Edition launches alongside the base game on Sept. 20, with the base Frostpunk 2 also being available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S digitally on the same date. Will you be picking up the game on launch? Did you try out the original Frostpunk? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned to GameLuster for more breaking gaming news!
